Yesterday, Make It Global hosted a Marketing and Communications Workshop at the University of East London’s Knowledge Dock Business Centre, run by Sarah Carroll from Grow Global. Sarah Carroll, has worked as a part of the core team to develop UK Trade & Investment’s national methodology and best practice in international communication – both on-line and off-line. This was the second of a two-day workshop; the initial master class took place on the 13th March and focused on internationalising websites.

The workshop focused on social media and how businesses could familiarise themselves with different methods in general, as well as some that are more international. The workshop covered topics such as:

  • Auditing your social media
  • Building an international social media plan
  • Models for an international social media campaign
  • Updating your global social media profile

The feedback received, similar to last week, was fantastic. The businesses (pictured above) enjoyed the delivery approach of the workshop, to the practical usage of the nature of the content.

This is just one of the many opportunities that will be created by Make It Global, if you are interested or would like further information about future events check out our events diary or contact makeitglobal@uel.ac.uk.
